A tractor‑trailer and a tipper parked outside the Derabassi police station in Mohali have disrupted traffic flow, raising safety concerns.
Derabassi, a town in the Mohali district of Punjab, saw a sudden slowdown in vehicular movement when a large tractor‑trailer and a tipper lorry were left stationary outside the local police station. The vehicles occupied a significant portion of the road, forcing cars and two‑wheelers to maneuver through a narrow space.
Motorists reported congestion during peak hours, with several commuters forced to wait longer than usual. The obstruction also limited visibility for drivers approaching the intersection, heightening the risk of collisions.
Police officials arrived at the scene and began assessing the situation. While no official statement has been released yet, authorities are expected to clear the vehicles promptly to restore normal traffic flow and prevent any accidents.
The incident underscores the challenges of managing heavy vehicles in densely populated urban corridors, where even temporary blockages can cause ripple effects across the local transport network.
