Tiger Pugmarks Found in Poba Reserve Forest, Public Access Halted

Officials in Arunachal Pradesh’s Poba Reserve Forest reported tiger pugmarks near the forest’s southern boundary on Monday. The Forest Department immediately sealed the area and issued a temporary ban on public entry to prevent disturbance to the habitat. Conservationists say the find underscores the region’s importance as a tiger corridor and highlights the need for continuous monitoring. The department has announced a wildlife survey to confirm the presence of a tiger and will work with local communities to strengthen protection measures.
