Three young activists have begun a foot‑march across Telangana, urging former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to resume office.

Hyderabad – On Saturday, three youths set out on a padayatra, a long‑distance foot march, with the explicit aim of pressuring K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to return as the chief minister of Telangana. The trio, whose identities have not been disclosed, plan to traverse key districts of the state, holding public meetings and gathering support from local residents.

The organizers say the march reflects growing dissatisfaction among certain sections of the populace who feel the current administration has not met promised development targets. They intend to conclude the journey at the state capital, where they will present a petition to the ruling party leadership.

No official response from the Telangana government or the Bharat Rashtra Samithi has been recorded yet. Observers note that while padayatras have historically been used as political tools in the region, the impact of a small, youth‑led initiative remains uncertain.

The padayatra is expected to cover several hundred kilometres over the next few weeks, with daily updates promised on social media platforms. Security arrangements have been coordinated with local police to ensure the safety of the participants and the public.

If successful, the march could add a new dimension to the ongoing discourse about leadership continuity in Telangana, especially as the state approaches the next electoral cycle.
