Three women, pretending to be customers, walked into a jewellery store in Madhya Pradesh and walked out with gold items valued at approximately Rs 45 lakh.

Police in Madhya Pradesh said that three women entered a jewellery shop under the pretense of being genuine buyers. They examined the display, selected several gold pieces and, after completing a brief transaction, left the premises with the items.
The women reportedly used forged identification documents to convince the shop staff of their legitimacy. By posing as serious customers, they were able to bypass standard security checks that are usually applied to walk‑in purchasers.
The stolen jewellery has been estimated at around Rs 45 lakh. Investigators have launched a case under the Indian Penal Code for robbery and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the suspects and trace the gold.
Authorities have urged jewellery retailers to tighten verification procedures for walk‑in buyers and to install additional surveillance to prevent similar incidents in the future.
