A fresh incident in Manipur saw three Naga houses set ablaze, raising concerns over escalating ethnic tensions.
In Manipur, a fresh attack resulted in the burning of three houses owned by members of the Naga community. The incident was reported by local media and has been described as part of a series of recent violent episodes in the state.
Eyewitnesses said the houses were set on fire using accelerants, and the flames quickly engulfed the structures before emergency services could intervene. No casualties were reported, but the loss of property has deepened fear among residents.
State authorities have launched an investigation and deployed additional police forces to the affected area. Officials urged calm and called for community leaders to help defuse tensions while the probe seeks to identify those responsible.
The incident adds to a pattern of ethnic clashes that have periodically erupted in Manipur's border districts, prompting calls for stronger security measures and dialogue between rival groups.
