Three new electronic interlocking systems and related signalling upgrades were commissioned on the Mokama‑Rampur Dumra railway section, while the Railway Safety Commissioner began inspecting the newly built Rajendra bridge and its double‑line work.

The Indian Railways commissioned three electronic interlocking units along with two level‑crossing gate interlockings and automatic signalling on the Mokama‑Rampur Dumra section of the network. The upgrade is expected to enhance train movement safety and reduce delays on this busy corridor.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by senior railway officials who highlighted that the new systems will allow centralized control of signals and points, improving operational efficiency across the line.

Concurrently, the Railway Safety Commissioner commenced an on‑site inspection of a newly constructed rail bridge parallel to the existing Rajendra bridge, as well as the ongoing double‑tracking work in the area. The inspection aims to verify compliance with safety standards before the infrastructure is opened for regular traffic.

Officials indicated that the combined projects are part of a broader effort to modernise Bihar's railway infrastructure, aligning with national goals for faster and safer rail travel.

Further updates will be provided once the safety audit is completed and the double‑line section is fully operational.
