Three faculty members of Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET) in Hyderabad have been listed among Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists, according to the latest Stanford ranking.

Three professors from Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET) in Hyderabad have secured a place in the Stanford University‑compiled list of the world’s top 2% scientists. The recognition was announced in a recent release by the institute and reported by Telangana Today.

The Stanford ranking identifies researchers whose citation impact places them in the top two percent of scientists across all disciplines worldwide. It uses data from Scopus and applies a composite indicator that accounts for total citations, h‑index, co‑authorship adjusted hm‑index and other metrics.

Being featured in this elite group highlights the research output of the three GRIET faculty members and underscores the growing prominence of Hyderabad’s higher‑education sector in global academia. The institute plans to leverage the achievement to attract more research funding and collaborations.

University officials said the honour reflects years of sustained scholarly work and will inspire students and peers alike to pursue high‑impact research.
