Three female students were injured when a 11,000‑volt power line contacted the roof of Shahbazpur Government Higher Secondary School in Muzaffarpur, Bihar; one remains in critical condition.

A high‑voltage electricity line carrying 11,000 volts struck the roof of Shahbazpur Government Higher Secondary School in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, causing severe burns to three female students. The incident occurred while the girls were on the school premises, and the live wire made direct contact with the roof structure.

All three students were rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Medical staff reported that one of the victims is in critical condition, while the other two have sustained serious but non‑life‑threatening injuries.

Local authorities, including police and school officials, arrived at the scene shortly after the accident. They secured the area, initiated an investigation into how the high‑tension line came to be exposed near the school, and coordinated with the electricity department to ensure the line was de‑energised.

The school administration announced that counseling and medical support would be provided to the affected students and their families. An official statement emphasized that safety checks will be intensified at educational institutions across the district to prevent similar tragedies.
