A section of plaster collapsed from the ceiling of a government primary school in Narda village, Udaipur, injuring three pupils while about 32 children were present in the classroom.

A government primary school in Narda village, part of Bhinder block in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, experienced a structural failure during regular classroom hours. A portion of plaster from the ceiling gave way and fell into the room where students were studying.

The falling debris injured three children, who were promptly attended to by school staff and later taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment. At the time of the incident, roughly thirty‑two pupils were present in the classroom.

Local authorities were alerted immediately. The school building, described as being in a deteriorated condition, has been secured with a lock while officials assess the damage and determine further safety measures.

The incident highlights concerns over the maintenance of aging school infrastructure in rural areas, prompting calls for urgent inspections and repairs to prevent similar accidents.
