Three arrested in Punjab with ISI links, AK-47, AK-56 and 10 kg heroin seized

Police in Punjab arrested three individuals, including a couple, allegedly linked to ISI, after seizing an AK-47, an AK-56 and 10 kilograms of heroin. They said the suspects were planning a major attack during the festive season.
Punjab police arrested Sandeep Singh, his wife Kamaljeet Kaur and associate Vikramjeet Singh after recovering an AK-47 rifle, an AK-56 rifle and approximately 10 kilograms of heroin from their possession. The arrests were made three days prior to the report.
During interrogation, the suspects allegedly confessed to planning a significant attack during the upcoming festival period, claiming they were acting on directions from ISI operatives. Police said the seized weapons and narcotics were intended for use in the planned operation.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Arms Act and Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Further investigation is underway to uncover any wider network involved.
