Ravi Patel, district president of the Telangana Rajya Adhikar Party (TRP), has extended full support to the strike launched by National Health Mission (NHM) employees in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, demanding the government address their long-standing service conditions.

Ravi Patel, district president of the Telangana Rajya Adhikar Party (TRP) in Jayashankar Bhupalpally, has announced full support for the strike undertaken by National Health Mission (NHM) employees to secure their legitimate demands. Patel urged the government to immediately resolve the issues faced by NHM staff, who play a pivotal role in protecting public health across the state.

Addressing the media, Patel highlighted the critical importance of NHM employees in providing medical services to rural and urban populations. He criticized the government for ignoring the grievances of these workers, who risked their lives to serve the public during crises such as the coronavirus pandemic. He stated that neglecting the problems of such dedicated staff is unjustifiable.

Patel outlined the key demands of the NHM employees, which include the payment of 100 percent gross salaries to contract and outsourcing staff, job security, and the implementation of equal pay for equal work. Additionally, the staff are seeking an annual increment of 5 percent, a health bonus of 8 percent, 180 days of maternity leave similar to other government departments, and access to EHS/ESI medical facilities. He called on the government to review these issues favorably and deliver justice.

The TRP leader also demanded the immediate settlement of pending salaries, Pay Revision Commission (PRC) benefits, and other financial entitlements for NHM employees who have served for many years. He emphasized that the government has a responsibility to resolve the staff's issues to ensure uninterrupted medical services for the public. Patel called for immediate negotiations between the government and NHM union leaders to end the strike, assuring that the TRP will always stand by the employees in their fight for rights. District leaders Ambal Narasayya Gattu Srikant and others were present at the event.
