The Telangana government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the private sector firm foundit to enhance skill development and employment prospects for young people across the state.
The Telangana government and the private‑sector firm foundit signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to strengthen skilling and employment opportunities for the state's youth. The agreement, which was formalised at a joint event, aims to bridge the gap between the skills demanded by industry and those possessed by young job seekers.
Under the MoU, foundit will collaborate with state skill development agencies to design and deliver industry‑aligned training modules. The partnership will also focus on certification, mentorship and placement support, ensuring that trainees gain credentials that are recognised by employers.
The government highlighted that the initiative will target over 50,000 young people in the coming years, with a particular emphasis on women and rural aspirants. By creating a structured pathway from training to employment, the MoU seeks to reduce unemployment and foster a more skilled workforce.
Both parties expressed confidence that the collaboration will generate new job opportunities and contribute to Telangana’s broader economic growth agenda, while also positioning the state as a hub for high‑quality skill development.
