Telangana Farmers Demand Rice Bonus Extension to Other Crops

Farmers in Telangana are urging the state government to expand the existing rice bonus scheme to encompass other crops. Currently, the scheme offers a Rs 500 bonus per acre for rice cultivation. Farmers argue that this incentive should be extended to other crops as well, citing the need for support and encouragement for diverse agricultural practices. The demand comes as farmers grapple with fluctuating market prices and the need to diversify their income sources.
