Telangana is reportedly planning to develop multiple technology parks across the state, aiming to replicate the success of Hitec City and attract more IT firms.
Hitec City, situated in Hyderabad, has long been a flagship technology park for Telangana, drawing numerous IT firms and investors. Recent reports indicate that the state government is exploring the creation of additional technology hubs beyond this established center, with the goal of expanding the IT ecosystem across Telangana.
The proposed expansion seeks to replicate the success of Hitec City by providing modern infrastructure, tax incentives, and a skilled workforce in other parts of the state. While specific locations and timelines have not yet been announced, officials suggest that the initiative will be phased to align with broader economic development plans.
Industry analysts note that a broader network of tech parks could enhance Telangana’s competitiveness, create jobs, and stimulate ancillary sectors such as real estate and services. The government’s next steps will involve site selection, feasibility studies, and stakeholder consultations to ensure the new hubs meet industry requirements.
