Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy will take part in the Indian National Congress's Goa Yatra scheduled for Sunday, signalling the party's push for broader regional outreach.
Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy announced on Monday that he will join the Indian National Congress's Goa Yatra slated for Sunday. The Yatra, a multi‑state outreach campaign, is being organised by the Congress to mobilise support ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
Reddy's participation highlights the party's strategy of involving senior leaders from different states to present a united front. He is expected to address party workers and the public at various venues across Goa, reiterating Congress's policy priorities.
The Goa Yatra will feature rallies, public meetings and interactions with local supporters in several towns. By taking part, the Telangana chief minister aims to bolster the party's visibility in the western coastal region while reinforcing inter‑state solidarity within the Congress ranks.
Analysts note that the move comes as the Congress seeks to revive its presence in both southern and western India, where it has faced electoral setbacks in recent years.
