TDP MLC Chiranjeevi Rao has linked development projects in North Andhra to increased support for the NDA alliance in the upcoming local body polls.
The next round of local body elections in Andhra Pradesh is set to take place in the coming months, with parties keen to secure a foothold in the state's grassroots governance.
During a press briefing, TDP Member of Legislative Council Chiranjeevi Rao highlighted that ongoing development initiatives in North Andhra—spanning infrastructure, water supply and rural connectivity—are expected to translate into electoral gains for the NDA coalition.
Rao emphasized that voters in the region are increasingly responsive to tangible improvements in public services, and that the TDP’s partnership with the NDA is positioned to capitalize on this trend.
The statement comes as the TDP, a key ally of the NDA in Andhra Pradesh, seeks to consolidate its influence ahead of the local body polls, where control of municipalities and panchayats can shape the political landscape for the next five years.
