Tamil Nadu's tourism department announced a roadmap linking cruise terminals, MICE venues and key destinations to boost experiential travel in the state.
The tourism ministry of Tamil Nadu has released a detailed roadmap that connects cruise ship terminals with MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) facilities and major tourist attractions across the state.
The plan seeks to create seamless travel itineraries by upgrading ports, hotels, transport links and related infrastructure, positioning Tamil Nadu as a comprehensive experiential tourism hub.
State officials said the integrated routes are designed to attract both domestic and international visitors looking for combined cruise and event‑based experiences, which should generate additional revenue for local economies.
Implementation will be phased, involving coordination between government agencies, private operators and industry associations.
