Schools in Tamil Nadu, including Dindigul, Coimbatore and Puducherry, were closed today following a state‑wide holiday announcement.
Schools across Tamil Nadu were closed today after the state government declared a holiday for the region. The announcement, which came early in the morning, affected schools in major districts such as Dindigul and Coimbatore, as well as the Union Territory of Puducherry. Parents and students were advised to check official school websites for any updates on resumption dates.
The closure is part of a routine schedule that aligns with national holidays and local festivals. Education officials stated that the decision was made to allow teachers and staff to observe the day with their families.
The government has urged schools to use the break for maintenance and preparation for the upcoming academic term. No further disruptions are expected once the holiday period concludes.
