Tamil Nadu CM Launches Expanded Free Bus Travel for Women, Issues Zero-Fare Tickets

The Chief Minister announced the expansion of the free bus travel scheme for women in a press conference earlier today. The initiative will allow women to travel on state buses without paying any fare, with zero‑fare tickets issued at major bus terminals. The rollout covers all districts and aims to boost mobility and safety for women commuters. Officials expect the program to ease travel costs and encourage greater public transport usage among women.
