BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari is using the Durga Puja festivities in West Bengal as a political platform ahead of upcoming elections.
Suvendu Adhikari, a senior figure in the Bharatiya Janata Party and former minister in the state, has announced his participation in Durga Puja events across West Bengal, signalling a calculated effort to engage voters during the festival season.
He is scheduled to visit several pandals, attend cultural programmes and address crowds, using the gatherings to outline the party’s development agenda and draw a contrast with the incumbent state government.
Political observers note that festivals such as Durga Puja provide high visibility and emotional resonance, making them attractive venues for parties seeking to influence public sentiment before the state assembly polls.
The BJP’s outreach in the region has intensified in recent weeks, and Suvendu’s presence is expected to attract media coverage and rally supporters in key districts, including Kolkata, Howrah and North 24‑Parganas.
