Suryansh Shedge Included in Mumbai Squad Amid ODI Call‑up Talk for New Zealand Tour

The Mumbai Cricket Association confirmed the selection of young all‑rounder Suryansh Shedge in the city’s squad for the forthcoming domestic season. His inclusion comes at a time when his performances have sparked talk of a possible call‑up to India’s One‑Day International side for the scheduled tour of New Zealand. Analysts noted that Shedge’s recent contributions with both bat and ball have placed him among the fringe players being monitored by the national selectors. The announcement underscores Mumbai’s intent to field a strong side that blends experience with emerging talent ahead of the upcoming tournaments. Shedge will now look to cement his place by delivering consistent performances in the domestic circuit.

The speculation surrounding his ODI prospects intensified after his impactful displays in recent limited‑overs matches, prompting media buzz about his readiness for the New Zealand tour. While no official invitation has been extended yet, his selection for Mumbai is viewed as a positive step toward higher honors.

The Mumbai squad, which includes several established internationals, will commence preparations shortly, with Shedge expected to play a key role in the team’s bowling and middle‑order batting lineup.
