The Supreme Court collegium has put forward the names of seven practising advocates, including Indore’s Dr. Vivek Sharan, for appointment as judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, pending presidential approval.

The Supreme Court collegium has recommended seven senior lawyers for elevation to the bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. The list includes Dr. Vivek Sharan and Mrs. Bhakti Vyas, both prominent practitioners from Indore. The collegium’s recommendation will be forwarded to the President of India, whose assent is required before the appointments can be finalized. Once the presidential approval is obtained, the new judges will be sworn in and will augment the High Court’s judicial capacity.
