**Sunil Sharma Takes Dig at Omar Abdullah Government, Says NC’s Political Crisis Is a Sign of Its Imminent Downfall**
SRINAGAR, October 31: Leader of Opposition in the at Omar Abdullah-led government say Nc political crJammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Sunil Sharma, launched a sharp political attack on the National Conference-led government amid reports of 25 NC MLAs uniting against Chief Minister Omar Abdullah over the Cabinet expansion issue. Reacting to the emerging political developments, Sunil Sharma said that he had repeatedly warned that the NC government would soon lose its grip on governance, asserting that the party's internal contradictions and growing dissatisfaction were bound to catch up with its leadership.
"I have said it before, this NC government will soon lose its grip on governance. Neither the party nor its government will be able to stand on the foundation of broken promises," Sharma maintained. He said the National Conference had come to power by making tall promises to the people, but its failure to fulfil those commitments had begun to expose the gap between its political rhetoric and actual performance.
Sharma asserted that the growing resentment within the ruling party was a reflection of deeper political instability, adding that a government unable to honour its promises to the public could hardly expect to maintain the confidence of its own legislators. The Leader of Opposition said the unfolding developments were only exposing the political contradictions within the NC, questioning the leadership's ability to manage both its internal affairs and the expectations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
