Sugarcane Farmers Set to Respond to Union Minister’s Late Night Plea

Sugarcane farmers are scheduled to meet today in response to a late-night plea from a Union Minister and an ex-Chief Minister. The appeal, made earlier this evening, called for a discussion on the challenges facing the crop’s growers. Organisers expect a large turnout from the farming community, who will present their concerns and seek solutions. The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to address the sector’s issues at the national level. No further details have been released at this time.
