Strong Winds and Rain Topple Power Poles in Sikar, One Hits Car

Sikar, Rajasthan, experienced an abrupt change in weather on Sunday evening when gusty winds accompanied by about an hour of rainfall swept the city. The high-velocity winds disrupted the local electricity infrastructure, snapping multiple poles and overhead lines across residential and commercial areas.

One of the downed poles fell directly onto a moving car, creating a scene of panic among onlookers and the vehicle's occupants. Emergency services arrived promptly, securing the site and providing medical assistance to those affected.

Local authorities have issued advisories urging residents to stay indoors during such sudden weather episodes and to report any damaged utility equipment immediately. Repair crews are working through the night to restore power and clear the debris caused by the storm.
