The state government has introduced an online MICE portal aimed at streamlining bookings and attracting investors for weddings, conferences and other events.
The government of the state unveiled a dedicated MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) portal today, marking a digital push to consolidate the region’s event‑hosting capabilities. The platform will serve as a one‑stop interface for venue owners, service providers and prospective investors, allowing them to list facilities, manage enquiries and secure bookings online.
Officials highlighted that the MICE segment, especially destination weddings and corporate events, has been a growth engine for tourism revenue. By centralising information and simplifying the procurement process, the portal is expected to boost the state's attractiveness to national and international investors looking to tap into the lucrative wedding and event market.
During the launch, senior officials said the portal will feature real‑time availability, transparent pricing and integrated payment options, thereby reducing administrative delays. They also indicated that the initiative aligns with broader efforts to digitise tourism services and generate employment in ancillary sectors such as catering, décor and logistics.
The portal is now live for registrations, and the state plans to conduct outreach programmes with industry associations to encourage early adoption. Stakeholders are being urged to upload their offerings within the next fortnight to ensure visibility ahead of the upcoming wedding season.
