Sports Authority launches new camps under Khelo India to train rural school talent
New camps will identify talented school children from rural areas, offering them free accommodation and international‑standard sports training under the Khelo India programme.
The Sports Authority has inaugurated a series of new training camps as part of the Khelo India scheme, targeting the discovery of talented school children from rural regions.
Selected children will receive free accommodation and access to coaching that meets international standards, aiming to elevate their athletic potential.
The initiative seeks to broaden India's talent pool by focusing on underserved rural areas, providing resources that were previously unavailable to these young athletes.
While specific locations of the camps have not been disclosed, the programme is expected to operate across multiple districts to reach a wide range of participants.
