Sony has introduced its FX5 cinema camera in India, offering Open Gate shooting and internal RAW recording capabilities.
Sony has unveiled its FX5 cinema camera in India, expanding the brand's Cinema Line. The FX5 brings professional filmmakers a 4K 120p sensor, 12‑bit RAW output and internal RAW recording, all wrapped in a compact, lightweight body. A standout feature is Open Gate shooting, which allows the camera to capture a 4:3 aspect ratio at 4K, giving directors more creative flexibility. Sony will distribute the FX5 through its authorized dealers in India; pricing and launch dates are yet to be announced.
