Snake sighting in Sampark Kranti Express AC coach sparks panic in Damoh

A report of a snake in the AC B‑3 coach of the Sampark Kranti Express caused a brief alarm on Sunday night, prompting RPF and snake‑catchers to search the train before it continued to Sagar.
On Sunday night, passengers aboard the Sampark Kranti Express traveling through Damoh reported seeing a snake inside the air‑conditioned B‑3 coach. The claim quickly spread among commuters, creating a sense of urgency.
Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel boarded the train as soon as it halted at Damoh station and initiated a thorough sweep of the coach. Local snake‑catchers, known as saperos, were also summoned to assist in locating the reptile.
After approximately an hour of searching, the team found no evidence of a snake in the carriage. With the situation deemed under control, the train resumed its journey toward Sagar, leaving the station without further incident.
