Six-Day Pooja Holidays Declared for Jammu & Kashmir Schools by DSEJ

The Department of School Education (DSEJ) in Jammu has issued a circular announcing a six‑day holiday for all schools across Jammu and Kashmir to mark the Pooja celebrations. The break is intended to give students, teachers and their families time to observe the religious festivities without academic disruption. According to the notice, regular classes will resume after the six‑day period ends. The department emphasized that the holiday aligns with the cultural importance of Pooja in the region and seeks to support community participation. Parents and school administrators have been asked to update attendance records accordingly and ensure a smooth transition back to the classroom.
