Haryana police in Rohtak have taken into custody six more individuals linked to a fraudulent call centre operation, expanding the ongoing investigation.

Rohtak police announced the arrest of six more persons suspected of operating a fake call centre that allegedly duped customers across the region. The arrests were made as part of a larger crackdown on telemarketing scams that have been reported in several districts of Haryana.

Investigators say the call centre impersonated legitimate businesses and used deceptive scripts to extract money from unsuspecting callers. Earlier sweeps had already led to the detention of several individuals, and the latest arrests bring the total number of suspects in custody to double digits.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime) Amit Sharma confirmed that the seized equipment includes computers, call logs and financial records that will be examined for evidence. He added that the police will continue to trace the network of operators and pursue any additional leads.

The police have urged the public to remain vigilant against unsolicited calls promising financial gains or demanding personal information, and to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
