The election authorities in Sikkim, Meghalaya and Ladakh have intensified special summary revision drives to enrol voters whose names are missing from the electoral rolls. The move aims to ensure a more accurate and inclusive voter list ahead of upcoming elections.

The three regions have stepped up their voter enrolment efforts under the Special Summary Revision (SIR) exercise directed by the Election Commission of India. Officials say the drives are focused on identifying citizens whose names are absent from the current electoral rolls and facilitating their inclusion.

Chief Electoral Officers of Sikkim, Meghalaya and Ladakh have coordinated with district-level officers to set up special camps and deploy booth-level officers for door-to‑door verification. The initiative seeks to correct any omissions and strengthen the integrity of the voter list.

Authorities have urged eligible residents to come forward and provide the necessary documentation so that their names can be added without delay. The drives will continue until the SIR exercise is completed, ensuring a comprehensive and up‑to‑date electoral database.
