The Sikkim High Court has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing repairs at the state’s law college and confirmed that the renovated building will be ready for use by December 22.

The Sikkim High Court, during a recent inspection, examined the repair work underway at the state's law college and found the progress satisfactory, noting compliance with required standards.
The court’s approval comes after months of delayed construction; the renovation programme includes structural strengthening, modernised classrooms, and upgraded safety measures, officials said.
A deadline of December 22 has been set for the building to become fully operational, enabling the college to resume regular academic activities before the upcoming semester. Students and faculty welcomed the decision, citing the need for a safe and functional learning environment.
The court’s endorsement is expected to accelerate the remaining work and ensure that the institution meets its educational commitments for the coming year.
