The Sikkim state administration announced a hike in Dearness Allowance from 58% to 60% and fixed the old pay‑structure rate at 262%.

Sikkim's government has issued a notice raising the Dearness Allowance (DA) for its employees from the current 58 percent to 60 percent, according to a report by Sangri Today. The adjustment applies to all staff covered under the state’s pay rules and is intended to offset rising living costs.

The increase in DA, a cost‑of‑living component of salaries, will be reflected in the next payroll cycle. Officials said the 2‑percentage‑point rise aligns with recent inflation trends and aims to maintain the real income of government workers.

In addition to the DA hike, the administration confirmed that the rate for the old pay structure will be set at 262 percent. This figure determines the scaling of salaries for employees still under the previous remuneration framework.
