India’s opening batsman Shubman Gill has confirmed that he will personally finance a squad of net bowlers to aid his preparation for the forthcoming Test series against New Zealand.
Gill, who has been a key contributor to India’s recent batting line‑up, said the arrangement would allow him to practice against a variety of bowling styles in a controlled environment.
The decision comes as the team gears up for the series that will begin in late October, with the Indian side looking to build momentum after a mixed performance in the previous tour of England.
