During a recent match, Shreyas Iyer attempted a pre‑batting routine that did not work as planned. A West Indies bowler then dismissed the Indian captain, ending the partnership.
Shreyas Iyer, known for his distinctive pre‑batting ritual, went through his usual routine before facing the West Indies attack. The ritual, which he has used in previous games, did not yield the expected start to his innings.
Shortly after, a fast bowler from the West Indies side delivered a ball that beat the Indian captain’s defence, resulting in a wicket. The dismissal came at a crucial stage of the innings, breaking a promising partnership.
The wicket shifted momentum in favour of the West Indies, putting pressure on the remaining Indian batters. Team India now looks to regroup and rebuild the innings as the match proceeds.
