A short circuit at a paint factory in Indore's Beta Industrial Park on Sunday triggered a massive fire that engulfed two adjacent factories, but fire services contained it after several hours.
Indore's Beta Industrial Park witnessed a serious fire on Sunday morning after a short circuit occurred in a paint manufacturing unit. The electrical fault ignited a drum of chemicals, causing flames to spread rapidly to two neighboring factories within the complex.
Firefighters from the city fire department arrived promptly and deployed multiple fire engines and water tenders to tackle the blaze.
The coordinated effort took several hours, but the fire was eventually brought under control and fully extinguished. No casualties were reported, and the authorities are investigating the exact cause of the short circuit.
Preliminary reports suggest that the incident was confined to the industrial zone, with minimal impact on surrounding residential areas.
