The Haryana government has announced the appointment of seven sportspersons, including shooting champion Ankur Mittal, as Haryana Civil Service (HCS) and Haryana Police Service (HPS) officers. The appointments were revealed in a press release by the Haryana Home Department on Tuesday.
Mittal, who has represented India in several international shooting competitions, is known for his silver medal at the Asian Games and multiple national titles. His selection follows a government initiative aimed at providing long‑term career prospects for athletes.
