The official character introduction event for the upcoming Tamil‑language action film ‘Jailer 2’ began at 6 pm today, marking the first public reveal of the sequel’s cast.
The film stars superstar Rajinikanth and is directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar. Veteran Kannada actor Shivrajkumar, who appeared in the original ‘Jailer’, announced that his role in the sequel will feature more screen time than in the first part.
The promotional rollout is part of the film’s marketing strategy ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on 15 October, coinciding with the Dussehra festival.
Industry observers note that the expanded role for Shivrajkumar could broaden the film’s appeal across South Indian markets.
