Shiv Sena leader attacked inside Thane police station

Thane, Maharashtra – Police officials reported that a prominent Shiv Sena leader was assaulted by unknown individuals inside the city police station on Monday. The leader, whose name was not disclosed pending verification, was present at the station for routine formalities when the incident occurred.

According to the station house officer, the assailants entered the premises, confronted the leader, and physically attacked him before fleeing. No weapons were reported, and the victim sustained minor injuries that were treated on site.

Thane police have launched an investigation, reviewing CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to identify the perpetrators. The incident has raised concerns about the safety of political figures in public institutions.

The Shiv Sena party has condemned the attack, calling it an "unacceptable act of violence" and urging authorities to ensure the protection of its members. The matter is expected to be discussed in the upcoming high‑level committee meeting on legislative council elections.
