GQ India reports that seven new movies and series will debut on Friday, October 9, 2026, across major streaming services including Netflix and SonyLIV.
GQ India’s entertainment roundup for October 9, 2026 lists seven fresh titles slated for release on major over‑the‑top platforms. The slate includes a mix of movies and series that will become available on Netflix, SonyLIV and other services on Friday.
The announcement comes as Indian audiences continue to seek diverse digital content, prompting streaming platforms to expand their libraries with regional and international offerings. While GQ India did not disclose the individual titles, the inclusion of both global and local platforms suggests a blend of genres aimed at a broad viewership.
Industry observers note that coordinated release days help platforms capture heightened weekend traffic, and the Friday launch aligns with typical viewing patterns in India. Subscribers can expect the new content to appear in their respective app catalogs from midnight local time.
The rollout reflects the ongoing competition among OTT services to retain subscriber interest in a crowded market, with each platform leveraging exclusive premieres to differentiate its catalogue.
Viewers are advised to check the latest listings on their preferred streaming apps to see which of the seven titles match their preferences.
