Security Tightened at Jalandhar Railway Station After Threat

Police and railway officials in Punjab responded to a credible threat by increasing the security presence at Jalandhar railway station. Additional personnel have been deployed to patrol the premises and monitor crowd movement. Entry points are now subject to bag checks and metal detectors have been installed to deter any malicious activity.

The station's CCTV network is being closely monitored, and officers are on standby to intervene if any suspicious behavior is observed. Commuters have been advised to cooperate with security staff and report any unusual incidents.

Authorities have not disclosed details of the threat, but emphasized that the heightened measures are precautionary and aim to ensure passenger safety while normal operations continue.
