Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition from a Maoist dump site in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, boosting counter-insurgency efforts in the region.
Security forces in Chhattisgarh have successfully recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from a Maoist dump in the Dantewada district. The operation was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the supply chains of insurgent groups in the region.
Officials confirmed that the recovery was made from a designated dump site used by the Naxalites. The seizure of weapons is seen as a significant step in weakening the operational capabilities of the Maoist cadres in the area.
Dantewada has been a focal point for counter-insurgency operations in recent years. The security establishment has intensified surveillance and ground operations to ensure the safety of civilians and to dismantle the infrastructure of the rebel groups.
No further details regarding the specific type or quantity of weapons were immediately available, but the incident underscores the continued presence of security forces in the sensitive border areas of the state.
