Scorpio car with ‘DADA’ plate rams police in Indore, suspects arrested after chase

A high‑speed Scorpio bearing the registration ‘DADA’ collided with two officers during a traffic check in Sanyogitaganj, Indore, and fled. Police pursued the vehicle for three kilometres, cornered it in Tilak Nagar and detained the two drivers.
Late Friday night, a Scorpio bearing the number plate ‘DADA’ was stopped for a routine check in the Sanyogitaganj area of Indore. Instead of complying, the driver accelerated, striking two police personnel who were conducting the inspection and broke through the checkpoint barrier.
The officers, though injured, managed to alert nearby units. A coordinated pursuit ensued, covering roughly three kilometres of city streets before the vehicle was forced to stop in the Tilak Nagar neighbourhood.
Police surrounded the car, secured the scene and arrested the two young men found inside along with the vehicle. The Scorpio was impounded as part of the investigation.
The incident underscores the challenges faced by law‑enforcement agencies in enforcing traffic regulations and the risks involved in roadside checks.
