Science Department launches mobile astronomy van for rural government schools
A new mobile van equipped with a telescope has been introduced to spark interest in space and science among students of rural government schools.
The Science Department has launched a mobile van equipped with a state-of-the-art telescope to provide astronomy observation sessions for school children in rural government schools.
The initiative aims to generate interest in space and scientific inquiry among students who otherwise have limited exposure to such resources.
The mobile unit will travel to various villages, setting up observation sessions during school hours, allowing students to view celestial objects and learn basic concepts of astronomy.
Officials said the program aligns with broader efforts to strengthen STEM education in underserved areas.
The department plans to monitor the impact and expand the program based on feedback.
