Science and Technology Department Deploys Mobile Planetariums to Rural Government Schools
The department is sending mobile planetarium vans to villages to spark interest in astronomy among rural school students.
The Science and Technology Department has begun dispatching mobile planetarium vehicles to villages, offering astronomy viewing sessions for students of government schools in rural areas. The initiative is designed to generate interest in astronomy among schoolchildren by bringing a mobile planetarium directly to their communities.
The mobile planetarium, often referred to as a "mobile planetarium" or "mobile planetarium vehicle," will travel to various villages, providing interactive sky shows that illustrate constellations, planets, and other celestial phenomena. By presenting these visual experiences in the classroom environment, the department hopes to inspire curiosity about space science.
Targeting government school students, the program aims to broaden exposure to scientific concepts that are typically unavailable in remote settings. The department plans to continue sending the mobile units to additional villages, ensuring that more children have the opportunity to explore astronomy firsthand.
