The Economic Times reports that schools across India will observe a holiday on October 6, 2026, due to heavy rainfall, with state authorities expected to issue specific closures.
The Economic Times has reported that schools will be closed tomorrow, October 6, 2026, as heavy rainfall threatens safety across the country. The announcement comes as meteorological services predict significant downpours in several regions, prompting authorities to take precautionary measures.
State governments are expected to issue detailed closures based on local weather conditions. Parents and students are advised to stay informed through official school channels and local news outlets for any updates.
The holiday aims to prevent accidents and ensure the well‑being of students and staff during the inclement weather. Schools will resume normal operations once conditions improve.
