In Satna, a suburb of the city known as Tukuriyā Tola, police arrested a woman and two other individuals following accusations that they promised housing, employment and improved healthcare to entice residents to convert religions.
The complaint, lodged with the local police station, alleged that the accused used these incentives to influence people’s faith choices.
All three suspects were taken into custody by the Satna police and are being held pending further investigation under the state’s anti-conversion laws.
