The Saraswati Cycle Yojana provides bicycles to female students in Chhattisgarh to lessen the distance they travel to school. The program aims to boost attendance and ease access to education.
The Saraswati Cycle Yojana is a government initiative that distributes bicycles to school‑going girls across Chhattisgarh. Under the scheme, eligible students receive a cycle to help them commute to their educational institutions.
By reducing the travel distance, the initiative aims to make it easier for girls to attend school regularly, which could help improve attendance and lower dropout rates.
The scheme is being implemented across various districts of Chhattisgarh, with the goal of reaching as many female students as possible. Monitoring mechanisms are in place to ensure that the bicycles are distributed to the intended beneficiaries.
