Sanitation workers in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, went on strike over eight demands, stopping garbage trucks from reaching the city.
Sanitation workers in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, staged a strike today after failing to reach an agreement on eight key demands. The protest, held at a central location in the city, saw a large number of workers gather and hold placards demanding better wages, improved working conditions, and timely payment of salaries.
The strike has disrupted the city’s waste management system, as garbage trucks have not been able to reach their usual collection points. Local residents have reported accumulation of garbage in several areas, raising concerns about hygiene and public health.
City officials have expressed willingness to negotiate and have urged the workers to return to work to restore normal services. The strike is expected to continue until a satisfactory resolution is reached.
